Yes, Swim Desk currently integrates with several POS swim. Swim Desk has an open framework that allows for easy integration with any management system.
CAN SWIM DESK BE RUN ON ANY TABLET ON POOL DECK OR DOES IT NEED TO BE AN IPAD?
Yes, Swim Desk can run on any tablet within a web browser. We recommend using leading manufacturers such as Apple and Microsoft as these typically have the best speed.
CAN SWIM DESK MANAGE BOOKINGS AND PAYMENTS?

WHAT DO I NEED IN ORDER TO RUN SWIM DESK AT OUR CENTERS?
All you need is a computer, tablet and stable WiFi internet connection.
DOES ANYTHING NEED TO BE INSTALLED ON OUR COMPUTERS OR TABLETS TO RUN SWIM DESK?
No, Swim Desk is a web based system so you will be provided with a login page URL and a master username and password which will allow you to log in from any computer or tablet with a smart phone.
WHERE IS THE DATA FROM SWIM DESK STORED AND HOW IS IT PROTECTED?
The data from Swim Desk is securely stored on a secure server with Sydney Australia (For Australia customers).
CAN SWIM DESK BE CUSTOMIZED TO OUR SETTINGS?
Yes, Swim Desk has flexible settings that allow you to manage your centres curriculum, branding and other preferences..
CAN WE CONTROL ANY CHANGES TO OUR SETTINGS?
Yes, you will have full access to all major settings so you can adjust these whenever you wish.
HOW DO PARENTS RECEIVE THEIR LOGIN TO THE PARENT PORTAL?
Parents will receive their portal login when their child is first assessed via the assessment email notification feature. Alternatively, you can set up an automated welcome email that will automatically send new parents their login information via email.
HOW MUCH DOES SWIM DESK COST?
SwimDesk pricing is based on a monthly subscription (Can be paid monthly or annually). The subscription cost is dependent on the number of enrolments at your swim school. We have a number of enrolment number pricing tiers which means smaller swim school’s can justify the service. (NOTE: We typically work with swim school’s that have a minimum of 500 students and above)
CAN THE PARENT PORTAL BE ACCESSED ON SMART PHONE?
Yes, parents can access their portal via any smart phone. Swim Desk has been designed to be smart phone compatible so it looks great on a smart phone.
IS THERE AN APP FOR SWIM DESK?
No, Swim Desk’s parent portal is mobile compatible on presents like an app on a smartphone screen. The only difference is that it is not available on the app store.
WHAT IF PARENTS FORGET THEIR USERNAME AND PASSWORD?
On the parent portal login screen there is a password retrieval option that allows parents to re-set their password or look up their username if these have been replaced.
WHAT % OF PARENTS LOG INTO THE PARENT PORTAL?
We typically see a between 45% and 65% of parents regularly logging in to the parent portal each term.
IS TRAINING PROVIDED FOR SWIM DESK?
Yes, you are provided with online training as well as ongoing support from a designed account manager who will help you every step of the way.

What if we already use SwimDesk?
Great, SwimDesk- Schools is an add-on module and can be quickly enabled for existing SwimDesk account holders if you wish to subscribe to the service. If you are an existing SwimDesk user, please ask about our introductory trial offer that will allow you to test out the school’s module before deciding if it’s right for you.
Why should we consider the SwimDesk- Schools module?
The SwimDesk- Schools is built specifically to cater to the needs of a facility offering swim lessons for school children. This module provides all the features needed to administer the cumbersome program very easily. It helps the centre save administration time several hours each week. The program also provides an management console to the school administration to manage the students and monitor the progress. The parent portal helps parents a detailed summary of their child’s learning progress. It will help any centre which would want to stand out from the competition and retain schools year after year.
How do we enrol students?
There are 4 ways in which students can be enrolled and entered into the SwimDesk- Schools module.

1. Easy Student sign-up by the faclity
2. The school can add each student via the school’s portal
3. You can bulk upload students via a simple excel spread sheet
4. The school can provide parents with an online enrollment link where they can enroll their child.

How does the level assignment feature work?
The level assignment feature can be used to help reduce the time it takes to allocate students into the correct class.
The level assignment feature is a questionnaire that can be customised to your level criteria. Based on the answers to the questionnaire, the outcome will recommend a starting level for a student.
The questionnaire is generally completed by parents via the online assessment link and can be validated by a teacher when the child is assessed in the facility. The teacher can retain the child in the indicated level or change.
Can we add our own curriculum?
Yes, you can add levels and skills related to those levels via the system settings
How do we add students into classes?
Students can be assigned into classes via the assign student feature. Once you have set up classes, you can assign students one by one or in bulk.

Typically, the recommended level assignment is used to help identify which class a student should be entered in.
Students can be easily moved from one class to another at any time.

What is the school portal?
The school portal is what each school receives with the GreeneDesk- Schools module.

The school’s portal allows schools to manage their enrollment numbers, print certificates and report cards in bulk.

What do parents receive?
Parents can receive achievement certificates as well as report cards. The report card shows which skills their child has successfully acquired as well as those that require further development.

The system can even provide a rating for the student’s current ability and how that relates to the average of their peers.

This extra level of feedback allows your centre to add value to your program and stand out from other providers.

How much does the program cost?
There is a small monthly investment of $85 per month and a small per student fee. This investment can easily be justified when considering the potential savings in administration time, added value to your program and potential for increased customer retention.

Should we charge schools for this service?

It’s up to you!

You may wish to offer optional extras for a small fee to grow your schools based revenue stream.
For example, you may wish to give the option to schools of a parent report card for each student at the small added cost of 1 dollar or 50c per student on top of your normal fees. This provides you with an “up-sell” option that many schools may choose.

How is our data stored and protected?
All data stored via the service at all times remains the property of the customer. GreeneDesk has a strict data security and privacy policy which is modeled on Australia’s privacy principles. We use a number of technological and procedural measures to ensure all data remains safe, and secure.

Do we need a kiosk to run Fit Desk?
No, members can exclusively use their smart phone or home computer to access Fit Desk however a kiosk can be useful for those members who do not have a smart phone or prefer to not bring their phone to the gym. We can recommend a number of kiosk options for Fit Desk.
Does Fit Des run on a smart phone?
Yes, Fit Desk is smart phone compatible and is optimised for viewing on most smart devices.
Can we change the content of the health consultation?
Yes, the content of your centres health consultation can be adjusted. Pages can be hidden and new pages can be added in.
Can we add new fitness tests and protocols?
Yes, please contact support to have new tests or protocols added
Can we add new exercises to our database?
Yes, within the Fitness menu, there is a section called Exercises. Within the exercises section you can view your current exercises as well as add new strength and cardio exercises.
What percentage of members will use it?
Member usage rates vary however typically we see 30-60% of clubs membership base use Fit Desk. Some members will use Fit Desk as an ongoing tool to track their workouts whilst some will use the system for a few months to get comfortable with their exercise regime.
How do members access the system on their phone?

What web browsers are most compatible with Fit Desk?
We recommend using google chrome on computers and Safari on iPad. Fit Desk will work with most major browsers however we have had some minor issues with Firefox.
Does Fit Desk have a booking system?

Yes, Fit Desk’s booking system is extremely powerful and is part of Fit Desk’s + Retention module.

Can we customise appointment types?
Yes, you can add/edit appointment types via the settings menu under the gym appointments heading.
Can SMS reminders for appointments be set up, if so how?
Yes, SMS reminders can be set up for appointments. This can be set to automatically send at a specific time. In order to set up SMS reminders you need to open an SMS account with a 3rd party SMS credit provider. We recommend Mobipost- www.mobipost.com.au
Where is member’s data stored?

The data collect through using Fit Desk is stored on a “cloud” server located in Sydney. We use a number of physical and procedural measures to ensure your members data remains safe and confidential including data encryption. Our full privacy and security policy can be found on our website.

Can members access their Fit Desk account at home?

Yes, all the member needs is an internet connection and their username and password to log into their Fit Desk account.

Can more than one person be logged in at the same time?

Yes, there is no limit to the number of members/staff that can be logged into Fit Desk at the one time.

What is needed to run the Fit Desk system?

To run Fit Desk you must have some form of internet connection, and a computer or tablet. You may also want to consider a kiosk for member access on the gym floor.
