Swim school managers understand that parents can be demanding when it comes to their child’s swimming lessons. Surveys into parent swim school satisfaction in 2013 uncovered that the biggest cause for parent dissatisfaction was a lack of communication about a child’s progress.
So how can swim schools overcome the challenge of providing parents with frequent feedback that provides enough detail to keep parents satisfied?
Many of Australia’s leading swim schools have turned to an innovative solution for managing communication and feedback to parents.
SwimDesk software helps allows swim schools to record student assessments electronically and share outcomes with parents via an online portal. SwimDesk integrates with existing management and booking systems such as Links, Centaman, Gladstone, Q visual, Intellileisure and several others making it easy for swim schools to seamlessly implement SwimDesk into existing operations.
In additional to providing parents with more detailed feedback about their childs swimming, SwimDesk provides an array of other useful capabilities including digital certificates, email automation as well as detailed report on retention and progression.
The success of SwimDesk is highlighted by the many leading swim schools that have already implemented the program.
The Cockburn ARC in WA is one such centre who implemented SwimDesk upon opening in 2017. The Cockburn ARC is one of the most expensive aquatic and leisure facility projects in Australian history. Being a brand new swim school, the Cockburn arc were able to implement SwimDesk as part of their processes from day one.
Another swim school to do this was Aquanation, a city of Maroondah owned facility which is one of Victoria’s newest and largest facilities. Aquanation launched SwimDesk when they first opened in 2015 and have enjoyed the benefits of using the program maximise student retention after the initial excitement over the new centre had worn off.
Another premier aquatic facility to launch SwimDesk is the SA Aquatic and Leisure Centre. The venue for Australia’s Olympic and World Championship trials, the SA Aquatic and Leisure Centre is one of Australia’s biggest aquatic centres. They have been using SwimDesk since 2014 and were one of the earlier adopters of the program.
In addition to these world class facilities, SwimDesk is now used by hundreds of swim schools throughout Australia, New Zealand and Asia, including well known facilities such as Active Monash, The YMCA nationally, Rackley Swimming, and the Club Group.
